Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has officially apologized to Nigerian cleric Apostle Johnson Suleman after a long-running public feud. In a heartfelt letter shared on her Instagram, Abubakar admitted to making false accusations against the cleric and causing harm to his ministry and family. She expressed deep regret for her actions, acknowledging the damage she had caused and seeking forgiveness.
The public drama between Abubakar and Suleman began in 2022, with Abubakar initially accusing the pastor of misconduct, which led to a series of heated exchanges. During this period, the actress became bedridden, and her family urged the cleric to stay away from her, sparking even more controversy.
However, rumors circulated that Abubakar was battling an autoimmune disease, but when she shared her medical report, it failed to convince many critics. The situation worsened recently when the Actors Guild of Nigeria suspended her indefinitely for defaming colleagues and high-profile individuals.
In her letter, Abubakar wrote, "I admit that I made false allegations against you and regret my actions. I ask for forgiveness, recognizing that my apology cannot undo the harm caused." Her public apology marks a significant step in attempting to repair her tarnished relationship with Apostle Suleman.
