Popular Nollywood actor and comedian Ijoba Lande has broken his silence on the challenges he faced in his marriage, revealing shocking details about his wife's alleged mistreatment before she left him with their children.
In a series of emotional posts shared on social media, Ijoba Lande recounted how his wife made life unbearable for him, despite his efforts to keep their marriage intact. He claimed that she constantly provoked him, hoping he would retaliate with violence, but he never did. According to him, he pleaded with her to stay for the sake of their children, but she refused to listen.
The actor disclosed that before his financial struggles began, he was earning millions from social media platforms like Facebook and YouTube, in addition to his influencing jobs. However, after his accounts were demonetized, his wife, who once handled his finances, allegedly turned her back on him.
He further alleged that his wife, who previously claimed she had hormonal issues whenever he requested intimacy, was seeing other men outside their marriage. More shockingly, he accused some senior colleagues in the entertainment industry—whom he respected and sought marital advice from—of having affairs with his wife.
Ijoba Lande also revealed that on the day his wife left, she allegedly threatened his life by pulling out three knives, warning that she would stab him. He refrained from taking the knives away from her, fearing that if she got injured in the process, he would be labeled a murderer.
Despite everything, he expressed regret over marrying a single mother, revealing that he had taken full responsibility for her two children from a previous relationship, as well as renting an apartment for her siblings. He claimed that before she left, she was aware he had only ₦7,000 left in his account and told him his life was over.
