"Your body doesn’t belong to you—it belongs to the craft," Femi Branch criticizes actors who show only one look in every movie.

Veteran Nollywood actor Femi Branch is making headlines after a powerful appearance on the entertainment show Trending, where he boldly criticized the lack of professionalism among some Nigerian actors.

In a clip that has since gone viral, Femi expressed disappointment with actors who refuse to transform physically or emotionally into their roles. He stated that many so-called actors appear the same in every film, offering no range or depth.

“You have someone that calls himself an actor and he has just one look in every film. I’m sorry dude, you’re not professional—you’re a fraud,” Femi said bluntly.

He argued that such performances cheat the audience, who are then forced to mentally ignore the actor’s personality just to believe the story.

“The audience is doing your job for you. You're giving them stress!”

Femi didn’t stop there. He cited Hollywood stars like Michael Fassbender, Joaquin Phoenix, and even 50 Cent, who made extreme physical sacrifices for their roles—losing or gaining weight, shaving their heads, or dramatically altering their appearance.

“If you have to go bald, go bald. If you have to carry warts on your face, do it! Your body doesn’t belong to you—it belongs to the craft.”

He further claimed that the reason some actors never land high-quality roles is because filmmakers know they lack the necessary dedication.

“That’s why you won’t see them in serious productions. Producers know how to separate the wheat from the chaff.”

In an era where physical appearance and popularity often overshadow talent, Femi’s comments serve as a firm reminder that true acting requires transformation, commitment, and skill.

To those who prioritize their looks over their performance, Femi had a clear message:

“Who cares about your good looks? People are paying for believable characters—not your selfies.”

The internet has since been buzzing with reactions, with many praising Femi Branch for speaking boldly and calling for higher standards in Nollywood.
