Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has sparked yet another online debate after rejecting a ₦1 million gift promised by popular crypto entrepreneur Blord.
In a viral video, Portable thanked Blord for promoting his music but insisted that ₦1 million was too small for someone of his status.
“Blord, God bless you for promoting my song, but give me a car. I’m more than ₦1 million. Give me a car and you’ll be more famous. I support you,” he said.
The singer went further to suggest that even ₦1 billion would be more appropriate, claiming such a gesture would boost Blord’s popularity even more.
Blord had reportedly pledged the ₦1 million in appreciation for a musical shout-out from Portable, but the singer dismissed it as an insult.
“Give me ₦1 billion, I will appreciate you. I’m bigger than ₦1 million,” he added.
Social Media Reactions
The video triggered mixed reactions, with many Nigerians mocking the singer:
“You never see money, and you dey ask for increase. Greedy goat,” one user wrote.
Another commented, “Oya press am ₦1 billion. Since you say you’re a billionaire, ₦1 billion should be small.”
Despite the backlash, Portable has once again dominated social media trends with his outspoken personality and bold demands.
