Nigerian music superstar Wizkid has revealed that he wants fellow artist Asake to perform at his wedding, praising him for his exceptional talent and unique sound.
Wizkid made the remark during an Apple Music Radio takeover interview, where he sat alongside Asake. He expressed deep admiration for the YBNL star’s music, describing his hit song “Remember” from the 2023 album Work of Art as his personal favorite.
He added that it was Asake’s breakout track, “Omo Ope,” that first made him a fan.
While speaking, Wizkid showered Asake with high praise, calling his voice one of the most distinct in global music.
“You have one of the most unique voices, not just in Africa but in the world,” Wizkid said. “I’ve told you this many times, and I’ll say it again on radio—you are truly a blessing to African music.”
Asake, touched by the words, responded softly with “Alhamdulilahi,” showing gratitude for the recognition.
