Destiny Boy’s Mother Breaks Silence, Denies Money Ritual Claims Surrounding Son’s Death

The mother of late Nigerian singer Destiny Boy, Saida Adeshina, has spoken out amid widespread rumors surrounding her son’s death, firmly rejecting claims that he was involved in money rituals or sacrificed for fame.

In an emotional video circulating on social media, Saida cautioned Nigerians against spreading unverified stories about her son. She warned that anyone using Destiny Boy’s name to seek relevance would “suffer the same fate,” stressing that the allegations are false and deeply painful to the family.

Introducing herself as the singer’s mother, she explained that Destiny Boy had been battling a long-term illness, which began about two years ago, shortly after the birth of his son.

Saida also disclosed that Destiny and his father had visited a popular herbalist, identified as Ifayomi, before the child’s naming ceremony, where Destiny was reportedly introduced to Ifa worship. According to her, the herbalist showed affection toward Destiny and gifted him a ram. However, not long after the visit, the young singer allegedly fell ill, clutching his stomach and collapsing.

She said Destiny was rushed to the hospital, and the family maintained contact with the herbalist, who she claimed supported them financially and reassured them that nothing would happen to her son.

As tributes continue to pour in, Saida’s statement has renewed conversations online, with many fans urging the public to stop spreading rumors and allow the family to grieve in peace.
