Nigerian media mogul Dele Momodu has commented on the ongoing custody dispute between his niece, Sophia Momodu, and music star Davido.
On his Instagram page, Momodu shared that while he is in Liberia, Davido is celebrated as “the god of music,” and Sophia is adored by many fans, particularly women. He revealed that some of Sophia’s fans reached out to him, asking him to intervene and resolve the disputes.
He reassured followers that there is no need to worry, explaining that efforts are being made quietly behind the scenes to handle the matter.
Momodu wrote:
“Here in Liberia, @davido is treated as the god of music. I’ve been visiting here for over two decades, but this visit is different. I came to commiserate with my friend and sister, former Vice President H.E. Dr. Jewel Howard-Taylor, on the passing of her only child, Charles Philip Neilsen Taylor Jr.
Since landing here, I have been inundated with messages from fans of Davido, and ladies who love @thesophiamomodu to bits… One of them is this ‘fashion designer’ @lorine.doe who said I should step in and settle the quarrels.
My dear sister, thanks so much. Nothing to worry about. Everything is going to be alright. We are working behind the scenes. Please keep everyone in your prayers.”
His post has reassured fans and sparked discussion online, as followers await updates on how the custody issue will be resolved.
