Abandoned Baby Found Along Power Line Street in Ore, Ondo State

An abandoned baby was discovered along Power Line Street in Ore, the headquarters of Odigbo Local Government Area, on Sunday afternoon, March 8, 2026.

Residents reported that the infant, whose identity is yet to be determined, was allegedly left at the location around 1 p.m. by an unknown person who quickly fled the scene. Eyewitnesses told Hope Newspaper that the baby was found lying helplessly before good-hearted locals stepped in to ensure the child’s safety.

One resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, described the situation as disturbing and noted that many people in the community expressed sadness over the incident.
