Nollywood actress Victoria Akanke Ajibola, popularly known as Omo Local, has shared a deeply personal and painful chapter from her life. In a recent interview on Oyinmomo TV, she revealed that she once attempted to take her own life after discovering that her husband had impregnated her close friend.
Omo Local explained that she was five months pregnant at the time she learned her best friend was three months pregnant for the same man. The betrayal deeply affected her emotionally, pushing her into a dark place. “The trauma was overwhelming, and I drank poison out of shame,” she said.
Addressing her divorce for the first time, she disclosed that she no longer keeps in touch with her former friend and is unaware of her whereabouts. She added that, to her knowledge, her ex-husband and the woman went on to have three children together after she left the marriage.
