Kunle Afolayan Hosts Odunlade Adekola, Mercy Aigbe, Toyin Abraham, Timini Egbuson, and Others at His Film Village (Video)

Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has warmed hearts after hosting several Nollywood stars at his film village and resort following their movie shoots.

The filmmaker organised a small celebration at his KAP Film Village & Resort, bringing together actors and creatives who had been working on different projects at the location for about 10 days. Among those in attendance were Odunlade Adekola, Toyin Abraham, Mercy Aigbe, Timini Egbuson, Kamo State, Bolaji Ogunmola, Yemi Solade, Ronke Oshodi Oke, and Kiitan Bukola, among others.

Speaking about the gathering, Afolayan explained that it was important for him to celebrate his colleagues, especially the younger creatives in the industry. He emphasized that Nollywood can only grow stronger when professionals support one another, share ideas, and create opportunities for upcoming talents.

In his words, he said:

“Last night at KAP Film Village & Resort, I hosted a small party for some filmmakers who have been shooting here for the past 10 days.

It was important for me to celebrate them, especially the younger creatives among the team. Our industry grows stronger when we support one another, share knowledge, and create spaces where the next generation can thrive.

Film is not just about cameras and lights — it is about community, collaboration, and unity.

At KAP Film Village, we are building more than a location… we are building a home for African storytellers.

Here’s to more stories, more collaborations, and a stronger film family.”

The gesture has been praised by fans and industry watchers, with many commending Afolayan for promoting unity and creating a supportive environment for filmmakers in Nollywood.
