Nollywood actress Faithia Williams has announced her return to work following the burial of her late mother.
In a post shared on her Instagram page, the actress revealed that she is resuming her professional activities as she begins the promotion of her debut cinema project as a producer, Efunroye: The Unicorn.
Faithia explained that the past few weeks have been very emotional for her and her family due to the loss. She expressed deep appreciation to fans, colleagues, friends, and well-wishers who supported her with prayers, messages, and kind gestures during the difficult period.
According to the actress, although her mother has been given a peaceful burial, the family has decided to postpone a larger celebration of her life and legacy until next year. She noted that this will allow them to properly honour the impact her mother had on those around her.
Speaking about her return, Faithia said she is now focusing her strength on her work, particularly the promotion of Efunroye: The Unicorn, a project she described as very special and meaningful to her.
She also used the opportunity to announce that she is open to collaborations, partnerships, and engagements as she takes the film to a wider audience.
In her words, she wrote:
“I am officially returning to work as we begin the journey of promoting my debut cinema project as a producer, EFUNROYE – The Unicorn. This film is very special to me, and I am excited to start sharing this powerful story with the world.
The past weeks have been deeply emotional for my family and me following the passing of my beloved mother…
While we have given her a peaceful burial, we have decided to shift the major celebration of my mother’s life and legacy to next year…
For now, I am channelling my strength back into my work… I am also open to collaborations, partnerships, and engagements as we take this beautiful project to audiences everywhere.”
Her announcement has since drawn supportive reactions online, with fans and colleagues encouraging her as she returns to work while continuing to honour her mother’s memory.
