Nigerian filmmaker and actress Funke Akindele has shared the steps she took to achieve her dreams in the film industry.
In a post on her social media page, the actress explained that her journey to success did not happen overnight. According to her, it took time, dedication, and strong faith to reach where she is today.
Funke said she spent years learning, praying, and making important decisions to improve her work. She added that she had to re-strategise, re-evaluate, and re-execute her plans many times before her project “Behind The Scenes” finally became a reality.
The award-winning filmmaker also expressed appreciation to Patrick Lee for his support and thanked her fans, whom she fondly calls her “Fanmily,” for always standing by her.
Funke promised that she will continue to tell African stories with passion and authenticity, adding that sharing meaningful stories from the continent remains one of her biggest goals.
