Yoruba Broadcaster Timothy Agboola, Also Known as Ereke Ni Shop, Passes Away After a Long Illness

Veteran Yoruba broadcaster and comic actor Timothy Agboola, popularly known as Ereke Ni Shop, has passed away after a prolonged illness. He died on Wednesday at a private hospital in Lagos.


Agboola was widely respected for his radio programmes that combined humour with storytelling, often celebrating Yoruba culture and traditions. He was also known for his lively stage presence and unique comedy style, collaborating with fellow entertainers such as Baba Alajeju.


Following the announcement of his death, colleagues and fans took to social media to pay their respects. Idris Shogbola wrote:
