Arsenal are reportedly in discussions with Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal over a potential transfer for Brazilian winger Gabriel Martinelli, according to The Athletic.
Martinelli, 25, has yet to make an appearance for Arsenal this season, raising further questions about his future at the Emirates Stadium. The Gunners are reportedly prepared to consider selling the forward if they receive an offer that meets their valuation.
The Brazilian has attracted interest from several clubs. Turkish side Galatasaray reportedly approached Martinelli earlier this month, but the player rejected the proposal.
Al Hilal have now emerged as serious contenders for his signature and are said to be in talks with Martinelli’s representatives over a possible move to Saudi Arabia.
Arsenal are reportedly seeking a transfer fee of around £60 million for the winger. Should a deal materialise, Martinelli’s departure would mark a significant change for an Arsenal attack in which he has played an important role since breaking into the first team.
The ongoing talks are expected to determine whether Al Hilal can meet Arsenal’s valuation and convince Martinelli to make the move.
