“What People Used to Mock, Allah Turned into Our Testimony” – Lateef Adedimeji Reflects on Struggles, Celebrates Triplets Ahead of Thanksgiving

Nollywood actor Lateef Adedimeji has shared a touching message ahead of his triplets’ thanksgiving ceremony, reflecting on the struggles, mockery and assumptions he and his wife, Mo Bimpe, faced before welcoming their three sons.

In a social media post accompanied by photos of himself, his wife and their triplets, Lateef revealed that the couple endured mockery, lies, stigma, assumptions and hurtful comments from people around them.

He recalled that there was a time when “the whispers were louder than our prayers”, adding that although there were moments when they could have fought back or explained themselves, they chose to remain silent because they believed Allah was writing their story.

Lateef wrote:

“THEY SPOKE. ALLAH ANSWERED.

The mockery.

The lies.

The stigma.

The assumptions.

The things said behind our backs and sometimes, right to our faces.”

He explained that what people once mocked, Allah eventually turned into their testimony, while what was discussed about them in darkness was brought into the light.

The actor also expressed deep appreciation to his wife, thanking her for standing by him throughout their difficult journey and for continuing to believe despite the challenges.

Addressing his three sons, Lateef said they may one day hear the story of what their parents went through before they arrived. He emphasized that they were prayed for, waited for and fought for, describing their arrival as Allah bringing them into their lives at the most beautiful time.

Lateef further stated that he no longer wants revenge, explanations or the need to prove anyone wrong. Instead, he chose to say “ALHAMDULILLAH”, celebrating his wife, his three sons and the journey that brought them to this point.

He concluded with a powerful reflection:

“Because sometimes the best response to those who counted you out… is to let them watch Allah count your blessings.”

The emotional message has highlighted the couple’s journey from enduring public scrutiny to celebrating the arrival of their triplets, with Lateef emphasizing faith, patience, gratitude and Allah’s timing.
