Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji has appointed four officials to oversee key areas in the state’s power infrastructure, road development, airport and transportation sectors.
The appointments were announced in a statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Oyebode, shortly after Oyebanji swore in the newly appointed Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Habibat Adubiaro, and Chief of Staff, Mr Oyeniyi Adebayo.
The new appointees are Philip Atere, who was appointed Technical Adviser on Power Infrastructure; Tope Fatukasi, Technical Adviser on Road Infrastructure; retired Air Vice Marshal Sunday Makinde, Technical Adviser on Airport; and Tajudeen Alingbolu, who was appointed Director-General of the Ekiti State Transport Agency.
According to the statement, the appointments take immediate effect and were made because of the strategic importance of the respective sectors to the administration’s development agenda.
The new officials are expected to bring their experience and expertise to bear in addressing challenges and advancing development in their respective areas.
The appointments came shortly after Governor Oyebanji charged members of his second-term administration to prioritise effective and timely service delivery.
Speaking during the swearing-in ceremony for the SSG and Chief of Staff, the governor said his administration would not tolerate anything short of excellent service delivery.
Oyebanji also urged the newly appointed officials to make use of the experience they gained during his first term and immediately get to work in delivering on their responsibilities.
The latest appointments are part of the governor’s efforts to strengthen key sectors of the Ekiti State Government and advance his administration’s development agenda.
