On Tuesday, June 25th, The internet and all of Nigeria buzzed as music sensation Davido tied the knot with his love, Chioma. Despite their joyous occasion, the couple, especially Chioma, faced criticism for her traditional dress, with many suggesting that celebrity stylist Veekee James would have done a better job.

In response to the criticism, Debbie Shokoya

commented that while the couple had moved on to an expensive honeymoon, some people remained focused on making comparisons and voicing complaints.

Debbie prayed against poverty and expressed her desire to avoid getting caught up in trivial social media opinions and statistics. She said:

“Rich people do weddings, and they move on to the next agenda (expensive honeymoon). Poor man’s child is there comparing and complaining!!! Oh Lord, I shall never be poor and jobless in my life. Social media and data will not be my only achievement in life to give stupid opinions. Social media opinions too.”
