Nollywood actress Temidayo Babatunde has shared her perspective on single motherhood, relationships, and personal success, emphasizing that no woman is truly content with being a single mother or a baby mama. However, she acknowledged that certain life circumstances sometimes leave women with no other choice.
Speaking on the evolving concept of marriage, she noted that while more women are discussing single motherhood as an alternative to traditional marriage, no woman sets out to be a baby mama by choice.
"This decision is personal and depends solely on the woman involved. If you take a closer look at the situation, you’ll understand that no woman is happy being a baby mama, but sometimes they just can’t help it. Destiny sometimes leaves us with no option but to adjust and face reality," she said.
Temidayo described marriage as a “life contract” built on trust, commitment, patience, perseverance, and love. She emphasized that when any of these elements are missing, a marriage may begin to struggle.
"Every woman deserves to be happy and have a peaceful home. The ideal position of every woman in marriage should be that of a happily married woman with lovely children," she added.
Reflecting on her own experiences with heartbreak, the actress shared that she has learned to accept life’s ups and downs. “You win some, you lose some,” she mused, seeing every setback as a lesson rather than a failure.
When it comes to relationships, Temidayo believes that age should never be a barrier to love. "You can date whoever makes you happy in every aspect," she said with a smile, reinforcing that happiness should always be the priority in relationships.
Discussing her career ambitions, Temidayo made it clear that her goal in Nollywood is “to win and keep winning.” While she has achieved significant milestones in the industry, she believes that true success goes beyond professional achievements.
"One of the most unforgettable moments in my life remains the year I gave birth to my son," she revealed, highlighting that personal fulfillment as a mother is just as important as her career.
As Temidayo continues to rise in Nollywood, her story serves as an inspiration, proving that success is not just about fame but about finding balance, resilience, and fulfillment in all aspects of life.
