“They removed me because I can’t speak English fluently” – Lege Miami laments in a recent video.

Nigerian actor and singer Adams Kehinde, popularly known as Lege Miami, has spoken out after allegedly being excluded from a documentary created to celebrate Seyi Tinubu’s 40th birthday.

In a viral video, Lege said he had recorded a birthday message for Seyi Tinubu after a camera crew visited his home. However, when the final documentary was released, his segment was missing.

According to him, the president’s son was not at fault. Instead, he said Seyi’s media handlers likely removed his clip because he does not speak English fluently.

Lege openly blamed himself for the situation, saying:

“I am responsible for my predicament because I don’t speak good English. If I spoke well, Seyi Tinubu would have included me among the rich people who speak good English.”

He went on to emphasise that Seyi Tinubu is still his good friend and should not be criticised over the incident.

“Don’t blame Seyi. He’s my friend. If I packaged myself well on social media or spoke better English, they would have included me.”

Lege also appealed to fans to stop tagging him and Seyi on social media about the issue, saying the attention had become too much.

“Stop tagging me. It’s unbearable. Seyi is not responsible for my inability to speak good English. I caused it myself.”

His candid confession has sparked mixed reactions online, with some praising his humility while others criticised the industry’s bias toward polished English speakers.
