Nollywood actress Mo Bimpe has celebrated her senior colleague, Funke Akindele, following her latest record-breaking achievement at the cinemas.
Earlier this week, reports confirmed that Funke Akindele made history as the first filmmaker to gross over ₦2 billion at the Nigerian box office with her 2025 movie, Behind The Scenes.
Reacting to the milestone, Mo Bimpe took to her Instagram page to shower praises on the actress, producer, and director, describing her as the undisputed Queen of the box office. She noted that Funke’s consistency and hard work continue to set new records in the industry.
According to Mo Bimpe, the achievement did not come as a surprise to her, as she had always believed the movie would reach such heights. She described the success as inspiring and boldly predicted an even bigger milestone, cheering Funke on to the ₦3 billion mark.
She also expressed pride in Funke’s journey, stating that God is clearly behind her success and applauding her for becoming the highest-grossing filmmaker in Africa. Mo Bimpe encouraged fans to keep supporting the movie, reminding them that Behind The Scenes is still showing in cinemas nationwide.
