Nollywood actress Debbie Shokoya has shared her reaction to a viral video by socialite Yhemo Lee, where he advised young people to be cautious about engaging in hickeys, also known as love bites.
In the video, Yhemo Lee explained that while modern youths enjoy exploring new forms of affection, it is important to know one’s partner well. He warned that some individuals may have unstable tendencies and could take such acts too far, citing a disturbing example of a friend who allegedly suffered serious health issues after a hickey.
Reacting in her usual lively style, Debbie Shokoya admitted she could not relate to the trend. She revealed that she had to search online to understand what a hickey meant after watching the video.
Expressing her confusion, the actress questioned why couples would still engage in biting each other after intimacy. In her words, she wondered why, “after the whole primary assignment,” partners would still go ahead to “bite themselves,” adding that she simply does not understand the act.
She jokingly suggested that she might be out of touch with current trends, repeatedly stressing that she cannot relate to such behavior.
Debbie ended her post by promoting her YouTube channel, “Debbie Show TV,” while teasing fans about an upcoming movie release and urging them to subscribe and turn on notifications.
Her comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some agreeing with her stance, while others defended hickeys as a harmless and common form of affection among couples.
