Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has expressed excitement after landing a role in a new project by media mogul Mo Abudu.


Taking to her Instagram page, the actress revealed that she will be part of the cast of the upcoming production, The Secret Life of Baba Segi’s Wives, describing the opportunity as a major breakthrough in her career.


According to Nkechi, she initially found it hard to believe when she was contacted for the role, thinking it might have been a mistake. She said the experience felt like a dream until she finally met Mo Abudu in person, whom she described as kind, warm, welcoming, and hardworking.


The actress admitted that although she tried to remain calm during their meeting, she was extremely excited on the inside. She noted that after many years in the industry, the opportunity feels like a reward for her persistence and dedication.


Reflecting on her journey, Nkechi said she has faced criticism in the past, with some people calling her a failed actress. However, she expressed confidence that her success will prove her critics wrong.


She also encouraged others to stay focused and committed to their work, stressing that consistency and hard work can open doors to greater opportunities.


In her words, she said:


“After so many years in this industry, I… am finally having a spot at the top… A cast in the most anticipated movie of the year… a Mo Abudu production? Somebody pinch me.


When I got the call, I thought they had dialled the wrong number… I tried to maintain composure, but inside me, I wanted to scream.


No matter what you are doing, be very good at it and stay focused… This year, those who called me a failed actress will eat their words… I will continue to excel and walk into every room full of opportunities.


Thank you is never enough… I am forever grateful.”
