Nollywood actress Laide Bakare has publicly called out her colleague, Eniola Badmus, following comments the latter reportedly made during a recent interview with content creator Isbae U.
Laide shared a clip from the interview on social media and accused Eniola of repeatedly damaging her reputation in public.
The actress claimed she had warned Eniola several times to stop making statements she considered defamatory, but alleged that her colleague had continued to speak about her in a negative manner.
Laide also described Eniola as an “ingrate”, claiming that she had played an important role in helping her colleague grow in life and career.
Expressing her displeasure, Laide said she would not allow what she described as Eniola’s insecurity to distract her from her personal journey and achievements.
She further warned that Eniola would hear from her over the matter, insisting that she knows her worth and appreciates the effort it has taken her to reach her current position.
Laide wrote:
“Must you always damage my character publicly? I have warned you several times to stop, but you have decided to bring me down at all costs. You will surely hear from me.”
She also questioned Eniola’s facial expression during the interview when her name was mentioned, while referring to herself as the actress’ “biggest benefactor.”
Laide’s post has now sparked attention online, with the actress making it clear that she intends to respond to what she considers repeated attacks on her reputation.
