The Henley Passport Index, a global passport-ranking website, revealed its latest list of the most powerful passports in the world on Thursday. According to the index, Nigeria is positioned at 95th out of 104 countries, indicating the strength of its passport for international travel.
Ghana, Guinea, Kenya, Lesotho, Morocco, Benin Republic, and Namibia outrank Nigeria in the index, holding positions at 76th, 83rd, 67th, 65th, 71st, 79th, and 65th, respectively.
The Henley Passport Index reports that Nigerians currently have access to approximately 45 visa-free countries with their passports. The full list includes countries like Barbados, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde Islands, and more.
Despite its placement, the report provides insight into the visa-free destinations enabled by Nigerian passports, shedding light on the global travel landscape for Nigerian citizens.
