Galatasaray's hopes of keeping Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen for another season have received a major setback following reports that an unnamed Saudi Arabian club has submitted a massive €120 million bid for the Super Eagles star.
According to reports from Europe, the Saudi club is prepared to pay around €120 million (approximately ₦189 billion) to secure the services of the 23-year-old striker after his outstanding performances for the Turkish champions.
Osimhen has become one of the most sought-after forwards in Europe following his impressive displays for Galatasaray, where he played a key role in helping the club maintain its dominance in the Turkish Süper Lig.
Despite growing interest from several top clubs, Galatasaray remain determined to keep the Nigerian international and are reportedly doing everything possible to convince him to stay for another season.
The Turkish champions have continued to receive enquiries from clubs eager to strengthen their attack with Osimhen's goalscoring ability. Among the teams reportedly interested are Atlético Madrid, whose €120 million offer was reportedly rejected by Galatasaray. Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be preparing an offer for the prolific forward.
Osimhen enjoyed another remarkable campaign, scoring 22 goals and providing eight assists in 33 appearances across all competitions. His outstanding contributions helped Galatasaray successfully defend their Turkish Süper Lig title and further strengthened his reputation as one of Europe's most dangerous strikers.
With interest growing from Europe and the Middle East, the race for Osimhen's signature is expected to intensify in the coming weeks as clubs continue their efforts to sign one of the most in-demand forwards in world football.
